What are essential Oils

A high percentage of pathologies and general health issues can be predicted or identified by comparing a person’s Qi type to the Qi of the space they are working, sleeping or living in.  As a certified aromatherapist and Feng Shui Master, I see essential oils as Qi in a bottle, full of essence and life.   The perfect smell will open the right molecules in our bodies to bring in the needed resource to help us achieve ultimate wellness; to perform at our best.  To be open to all the opportunities surrounding us.  Waiting to be.

Essential oils are extracted from various plants and carries the healing properties of the plant it is sourced from.  The oils are absorbed into your skin or inhaled to benefit your mind, body and spirit. Some aromatherapists believe that essential oils carry a particular vibrational energy that can influence the energy fields of human beings.

When purchasing essential oils, be sure the oils  are pure and natural and don’t have synthetics added.

When purchasing look for oils that are:

  • Labeled with the Latin name of the plant material
  • Contained in a dark coloured bottle to help reduce the speed of oxidization
  •  Aren’t labeled as Therapeutic Grade (as there are no means of monitoring the grading and this information can be misleading)

How I can help

As part of my Qi planning services, I prepare personal blends to help enhance your personal Qi and create balance in your space.  Here are some examples of blends and what they can help with:

  • Metal – authority, memory
  • Earth – concentration, weight control
  • Water – focus, hormone issues
  • Fire – confidence, attraction
  • Wood – vitality, tonic

Blends can also be made to help with health issues.  Health issues almost always relate back to the Qi of a space and blends can be made to balance the space and help to avoid sickness.  These prescription blends require as many as four different types of oils.  It has been proven that the synergy effect of using several different types of oils enhances each oil.

  • The first oil is the Emperor and brings overall benefits to the condition
  • The second oil is the Minister, it reinforces one or more properties of the Emperor
  • The third oil is the Assistant. It enhances the benefits of the Emperor/Minster combination
  • The fourth oil is the Messenger, it gives the blend its direction. ~G. Mojay

Using lavender oil

Chinese Medicine explains that understanding the energetic roles of Yin and Yang is the key to therapeutic application.  The best result will be obtained by determining the precise organ responsible for the deficient Yang energy.

Oils are made up of chemicals and we are made up of chemicals. Once we know the major chemicals in any oil, we then have an educated guess as to how that chemical will react.

An example is lavender, a plant that will assist in issues with fatigue, insomnia, night sweats, headaches, and hot spells.  It is calming.  This is backed by western medicine.

If you have insomnia, you have an overactive mental state. This is correlated to the metal elemental phase.  By adding the right amount of fire elemental Qi you balance out the overly Yang metal energy. Using lavender oil (which is correlated with the fire elemental phase) in the right concentrations and applications can do just that. Some facts about lavender oil:

  • Chemical in lavender is Linalool, which is a pain killer, sedative and relieves anxiety
  • In every drop of lavender oil there is approximately 57 grams of flower
  • Each drop is highly concentrated and needs to be administered in the right dose to avoid sensitivity, allergies, and stimulating blood pressure.
