Leave the Office Refreshed with Qi Planning

river or lake with landforms

In the beginning of my Feng Shui Consulting practice, I set up a little pop up booth in the mall to attract clients.  Almost the first one that came up to my booth was, at the time I thought, the most unlikely sort of fellow I could image.  As a matter of fact he was totally misplaced even to be in a city mall.  He looked like he just came in from the fields with muddy boots and all.  He was a farmer.

He started off by saying that he was a little skeptical talking with me, because he didn’t know what he was feeling and didn’t want to look silly.  He felt something as he worked his land.  He wanted to give it a name.  Thinking back now, I guess it would be someone like a farmer that would know better than most city folk about this force;  this force that comes from life and nature.  After all he worked the land every day.

It was Qi he was soaking up.  Our lands and waters are drenched in it.  Maybe that is why our ideal setting always includes one or both.  The body knows and craves for it. Qi.  It runs through our bodies and we replenish in every day with food and exercise.  We also absorb the Qi from the land.

The farmer gets vibrant new Qi in his soil and water and this keeps him younger than the (wo)man in the office tower sitting at a desk all day absorbing dead jailed Qi.  It is not just the work load that robs you of your Qi, it is the fact that no new Qi is being generated at a stagnated desk area.

For the (wo)man in the office (s)he should try and bring in some nature to help acquire vibrant Qi throughout the day so that you can leave work without being totally Qi depleted.  Can use any live thing: Plants, or Water features are good choices for the office.  This is one way you can use Qi Planning to help you live a healthier and happier life.
