When someone is inquiring about the Feng Shui of a space they usually mean “how will this house affect me?” And the answer is “it depends on how you are going to use it.”
The practice of Qi Management includes a combination of Feng Shui (the Space Part), time management (the Time Part), and action (the Man Part). The process is similar to how the Farmer might use the Farmer’s Almanac.
Since there are three parts to the equation there is need for some interpretation. Books on Feng Shui often give lists of combinations that can be useful guidelines. But they fall short in being reliable as they do not take into account the “Man/Action Part”.
One popular yin and yang combination that is normally avoided are two “stars” known as the Emperor and Sickness stars. This combination will bring great fear to some and they will go to great lengths to avoid it, and that can be a mistake.
Not all people are the same and this is what can make the difference. If the person can use this qi type, then, even though untimely there are safe ways of using them successfully.
Case in point is this case study. My client asked me to take a look at his home as his youngest daughter didn’t want to stay in her room and he was curious to know if it was a Feng Shui issue.
It turns out it was. The child’s personal qi type was being “controlled” by the dominate qi of the space. Staying in spaces that “control” you have high percentages of bringing on illnesses. The young child most likely felt suppressed and uncomfortable in that space.
What is most amazing about this case was my client and his wife were sleeping with that untimely holistic duo; the Emperor and Sickness. Yet my clients are both successful business people overseeing many businesses. It is this “emperor” energy that they need and use in their daily lives.
The “bad combo” list continued. The main entrance albeit having the noble it was not idea and actually promoted unproductive careers, yet they were successful. This was for the most part as a result of the Man/Action part.
Here is something for you to think about… Is your home working for you? Make sure you are in a house that works with your Qi type and the Qi you need to reach your goals. If you are struggling in any area of your life, check with your Feng Shui Practitioner to see if you are in the right place to do your thing.
