More about Feng Shui

Feng Shui, the study of the land or geology, is part of the branch of Chinese Metaphysical Arts called appearance or physiognomy.  There are five branches in total and they are referred to as The Five Arts of Chinese Metaphysics.  These branches include war or mountain, health or medicine, divination, life or astrology and appearance or physiognomy.

The practice of Feng Shui was born out of gaining a respect for nature.  The ancients witnessed the forces of nature in daily life.  They learned that by following the seasons and the celestial cosmic activities they would incur good fortunes. They then built on that concept and devised formulas based on planetary movements and seasonal changes.

Thousands of years of detailed case studies have been documented and compiled for us to follow. Standing on the shoulders of giants we have gained considerable knowledge capable of bringing stability into our lives with the skill of being able to read time and how it affects space.

Feng Shui allows us to live healthier by being able to predict health and financial issues before they happen.

The first Feng Shui school was around 220 C.E. and along with the school came the first Feng Shui book written on classical Feng Shui and titled, Classic of Burial.  It was the handbook for locating a place or terrain where Qi converges. It came with a simple two step process:  First, study the landforms and waterways to locate where the Qi is converging.  Second, use time and space formulas to manage the quality of Qi

The study of Feng Shui includes astrology, astronomy, geology, physics, mathematics, philosophy, and intuition.  It is an art and science of analyzing nature’s forces with the intent of benefitting. It is the study of the effects of time (heavenly forces) and space (earthly forces) on the wellbeing of an individual (man).

The three primal forces of Qi

It’s important to remember that Feng Shui is a three-part system.  If any of the three parts are missing, then results will not be as favourable.  The three primal forces of Qi are Heaven (time), Earth (space), and Man (intention).  It is about living in the right place or space, built at the right time, doing the right thing.  The key is that ALL THREE need to be in play, only having one or two is not enough.

The first part is time, which matches your destiny.  The second part is space – you need to be in the right direction and location.  You need to do the work required to make it happen, the third part which is man.  Feng Shui does not do the work for you, it is only a tool to help you work.  A tool that will help you take control over your life and bring into it what you decide to bring in.  It will help you spot the road blocks before you reach them and plan a route of least resistance.  It is an aid not a magic pill.  Even with the best Feng Shui possible if you do nothing all day then you will not be using the energies.  They instead will use you.

Westerns believe that luck is random and unpredictable, Qi Planners believe and know that luck is measurable and knowable.

Earth. How the environment and land impacts your personal Qi. The flow of terrain and contours of the land. Waterways are used to provide wealth. Mountains provide support.
Man, how your decisions in life are impacted by your personal Qi. You can join time and space by your own free will.
